- 101 Dalmatians - There are two menu opening sequences.
- Disc 1 - The outline of the menus framing appears then the park is drawn on. It gains color then the options are put on by a green flash.
- Disc 2 -
- Diamond Edition - The camera zooms through the houses, and fades to the streets. Cruella briefly shows up in her car then drives off as the options fade in.
- 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure (first release and Special Edition) - The Dalmatian puppies go to the TV and bark at it. Patch is the last shown and gets excited.
- 9 - The title shows then it zooms in, and something at the bottom spins until the options appear.
- The Adventures of Tintin - The yellow plane flies across to the scenes that play in photo frames and the menu bar scrolls up from the bottom.
- Akira - A motorcycle can be heard starting up then the menu slides onto the screen.
- Aladdin: Platinum Edition - There are two menu opening sequences.
- Disc 1 - The sand blows and the title shows, then it pans over to the magic lamp. The Cave of Wonders emerges from the ground. The options come out of the lamp.
- Disc 2 - After successfully capturing Jafar in his genie form, Genie says "10,000 years in a Cave of Wonders ought to chill him out!", then he throws him to the Cave of Wonders. The lamp falls into a treasure pile, then the options appear how they did on the main disc.
- Diamond Edition - Aladdin pulls back the curtain and looks out to the grand palace, as the title and menu shine in at the bottom.

- Alice in Wonderland - There are two menu opening sequences.
- Disc 1 - Alice enters the hole then falls down, she is then seen on the way down to wonderland, then the options appear. (Reused on 60th Anniversary edition)
- Disc 2 -
- Alpha and Omega - The camera zooms out of the moon and the title plays before it goes down to the mountain.
- Alvin and the Chipmunks - One of their album discs appears on the screen, then it rolls off with five more like a kaleidoscope and the menu appears.
- American Legends - The screen fades in from black, and each character is shown then a book spins into the middle. The text “Disney’s” then shows and then the rest of the title fades in while “legends” writes itself. It then places itself on the first page and on the second page the menu fades in.
- An American Tail - The scroll starts playing scenes from the film, then when Fievel says “Are we there yet?”, the title spins past the camera.
- Anastasia: Family Fun Edition - The title plays then moves to the top as sparkles go around the screen to form the main menu.
- Antz - The title fades in along with the options.
- The Ant Bully - The camera zooms out of Spindle's eye and they fly off.
- The Aristocats: Special Edition - The alley cats listen to the music that comes from the house, and Scatcat plays his trumpet in the window. It zooms into the window to the main menu.
- Arthur and the Invisibles - The camera pans down the thing and the human characters are shown. It then looks through a microscope and the doors open to the main menu loop.
- Arthur's Missing Pal - The yellow bar and the title slide from the bottom and the options slide from either the left or the right.
- Astro Boy - The sun rises over the city, then the title glows on and the menu appears.
- Atlantis: The Lost Empire - The camera zooms along the water until Ʌ emerges from the water. Then the title appears (originally in Atlantean language) and a ketak flies towards the screen.

- Balto III: Wings of Change - The mountains fade in then photos of the characters are shown as the title is shown as well, then a stack of photos fall from the top to the main menu.

- Spring - The animals cheer, then the cherry blossoms fly past the screen to the main menu.
- Winter - The animals groan, then the snowstorm blows past the screen to the main menu.
- Bambi II (2011 Reissue) - The leaves fly past the screen to the main menu.
- Barbie & the Diamond Castle - The purple flowers move of the screen. The film’s main characters Barbie and Theresa are shown together in search for the main location, which the screen then fades to to serve as the main menu.
- Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale -
- Barbie: Mariposa - The butterflies fly off the screen then they fly until they form the title, and the camera zooms out as Mariposa says “Hi! It’s me, Mariposa!” and makes the options appear.
- Barbie: The Princess & The Popstar -
- Barbie and the Three Musketeers - The musketeers say “all for one and one for all!” and link their swords together. A feather flies around and Miette jumps on top of the menu.
- Barbie as the Island Princess - The camera zooms over to the island and it gets an aerial tour before it goes to the main menu.
- Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper - Scenes from the film start playing, then the butterflies fly past the screen and the title plays before it starts sparkling as the menu frame zooms out.
- Barbie as Rapunzel - Rapunzel Barbie paints her painting, and also paints the title and the menu.
- Barbie in A Christmas Carol - The camera zooms into the tree as the sparkles make the title and options appear.
- Barbie in The 12 Dancing Princesses - The camera zooms into the book’s title to the main menu.
- Barbie in the Nutcracker - The title of Barbie goes onto the curtain as a spotlight shines on it, then a sparkle goes past to reveal “in the nutcracker” then the curtains open to the main menu.
- Barbie of Swan Lake - Lila walks across the bridge and presses her horn onto a rock that moves to the side. It then goes through a tunnel then it fades to the menu background. It then starts to have a ripply effect as the title plays, then the title moves to reveal the menu options.
- Barnyard - The camera moves down from the sky onto the menu.
- Beauty and the Beast: Diamond Edition - The camera zooms out of the rose to the main menu.
- Beauty and the Beast: Platinum Edition - There are two menu opening sequences.
- Disc 1: Film - The camera pans over a book as the narrator (Cogsworth) says "Once upon a time, there was a little town, a quiet village, where every day was like the day before, until today.", then the camera zooms in the book and pans through the town, and sparkles shine all over, giving the town color. The narrator says "Be our guest to a world of enchantment.", then the sparkle shines the menu, then the options appear.

- Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas: Special Edition - An anthropomorphic purple bauble plays a scene from the film then bounces itself onto the tree as the menu fades in. On the older edition, the options are already there.
- Beauty and the Beast: Belle's Magical World: Special Edition - The trees part and zoom into the castle, then the options and title appear in a sparkly manner.
- Beavis and Butt-Head Do America: Special Collector's Edition - The following scenes play: a shot of the Hoover Damn, ATF agents leaving the truck, Agent Flemming storming Dallas' hotel room, a wanted poster coming out of the printer, and the same poster being hung up on the wall. The options fade in on this poster.
- Bee Movie - A bee flies into the hive, then the camera enters the hive, revealing the main menu.
- Bedknobs and Broomsticks -
- First Edition - The bed goes underwater and the camera zooms in. The title plays as the knob turns red and the options appear.
- Enchanted Musical Edition - A bed glows orange with people on it then disappears.
- Beowulf - The middle part opens to play scenes from the film as the options appear.
- Big Hero 6 - A clip shows the Big Hero 6 using their abilities, then the options fade in.
- Bionicle: Mask of Light - The screen fades between different locations from the film. The main menu takes place in an arena, and the text at the bottom deciphers into the options.
- Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui -
- Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows - The camera zooms through many web to the menu.
- The Black Cauldron (2010 DVD only) - Some scenes play from the film until it goes to the main menu.
- Bolt - The train comes out of the tunnel.
- The Book of Life - The option bar instantly cuts onto the menu and the loop starts playing.
- The Boss Baby - A small toy car drives into the middle, then a briefcase lands on top of it and opens, and a file comes out of there and opens to the main menu.
- Brave - The camera zooms down as some yellow leaves fall, until Merida’s bow appears.
- Brother Bear - There are two menu opening sequences.
- Disc 1: Family-Friendly Aspect Ratio - Many clouds fade out and the camera enters the forest. Rutt and Tuke start having a conversation as the camera goes left to the waterfall. The menu bar then fades in.
- Disc 2: Original Theatrical Aspect Ratio - The camera goes down a waterfall, then the camera pans right as Koda asks Tug to tell him a story from his youth.
- Brother Bear 2 - The camera zooms through the land into a cave, then the yellow glowy things go into a drawing of stickmen, then the scene loop starts playing as the menu scrolls on.
- Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie - The hypno ring appears then the screen flashes white to the main menu loop.
- Cars - The racecars begin their race then the menu solely focuses on McQueen
- Cars 2 - The earth begins to project the film’s main characters (Mater first) as the options appear.
- Cars 3 - It goes toward the racetrack.
- Casper's Haunted Christmas -
- Castle in the Sky - Clouds pass the screen then the title zooms out of the camera as the menu appears.
- The Cat Returns - The screen fades in from white and zooms out as Haru and Muta see the Cat Kingdom from a distance, next to the menu.
- Charlotte's Web (1973) - The camera zooms into the barn then a spider (not Charlotte) crawls up the web as the main menu forms.
- Charlotte's Web 2: Wilbur's Great Adventure - The scene loop begins then the camera zooms slightly out revealing the menu.
- Chicken Little - The camera lowers down the tree then an acorn falls, then the alien ship falls out of the tree too. It turns invisible and the menu appears on it.
- Chicken Run - There are two versions.
- DreamWorks - Fowler walks on a roof and says "Cock-a-doodle-doo!", then the camera zooms in the chickens, then Ginger puts a map of the menu, then the chickens see the map, then the camera zooms in the menu.
- Pathe - Rocky lands through the trough and onto his feet in front of Ginger. The trough flips over and lands on him, and a paper falls to Ginger. She grabs it and the title is displayed on it, then it pinholes to the main menu.
- A Christmas Carol (2009) - The screen fades in from black. Then a snowstorm blows past as the title and options fade in.
- Cinderella - There are two menu opening sequences.
- Disc 1: Film - The camera zooms out of the castle then inside the chariot. A sparkle comes from the shoe and the options appear on the window.
- Disc 2: Bonus -
- Diamond Edition - The screen fades between two different locations following a set of stars, then it fades to the main menu as the pumpkin transforms to a chariot.

- Classic Caballeros Collection - Donald and Jose open the present and the confetti explodes the screen to the main menu.

- Coraline - The camera zooms into a button to the menu loop. The needle makes the options appear.
- Corpse Bride - The title appears on the moon, then the camera pans down to the forest.
- The Croods - The bear owl curiously comes towards the camera and licks it to the main menu.
- Curious George - George swings around in the jungle before throwing Ted’s hat at the camera. The options appear when the popping bubbles rise from the bottom.
- Delgo - After playing scenes from the film, the camera then zooms out of the fountain. The menu is in front of it.
- Despicable Me 2 - The post credit scene is shown.
- Dinosaur -
- US - Aladar is chased by the Carnotaur. The latter leaves a massive footprint, and the camera gets in front of it. The options fade in around it and the title appears at the bottom with a slam.
- UK - A herd of dinosaurs walk. A large dust cloud comes towards the camera and fades to the main menu.
- Doogal - Ermintrude says "Oh, yes!", and Doogal says "I'm a dog on a mission.", then they go on the carousel, then the thunder crackles in the ice background of the carousel, then Zeebad throws an ice ball and says "Boo-yah!", then the options appear as Dylan says "Hit it, Dairy Queen!".
- Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who! - The narrator says "On the 15th of May, in the jungle of nool. In the heat of the day, in the cool of the pool.", then the options appear.
- Dr. Seuss' The Lorax - The film’s title shows as the camera enters the truffula forest.
- Ducktales The Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp - The characters enter the tomb, then they are seen falling down a trap door as they land on each other, causing them to lose a marble. They then see the treasure. The lamp does a flip then the options cut on the screen.
- Dumbo (60th Anniversary Edition release and Big Top Edition release) - Dumbo flies and carries the menu options.
- Dumbo: 70th Anniversary Edition - Timothy Q introduces Dumbo, who then jumps off a platform holding a feather then the camera zooms out to the menu bar.
- Eight Crazy Nights - The whole location is colored in then the menus options come from the top.
- Elemental - The characters open a door and the menu is shown
- The Emperor's New Groove - There are two versions, from the same menu design.
- US - A monkey eats the bug, and then zooms into Kuzco's palace. (Reused on The New Groove Edition)

- Encanto - A butterfly flies to the madrigal house and then a swarm of butterflies fly past the screen to the main menu as the front door opens.
- Epic -
- Everyone's Hero - Screwie is batted at the screen and goes past it to the main menu.
- Fantasia - The title shows on the curtains, which then open, and the conductor Leopold Stokowski raises his arms for the music to start.
- Fantasia 2000 - A large shine appears in the outer space then the title comes out of it, then the screen flashes and the menu appears.
- Fantasia 2000 (2011 DVD) - Scenes from the film start flying around, then a circle appears and the camera goes down to the circle as the menu appears.
- Ferdinand - Ferdinand snorts up a caterpillar and sneezes it out as a butterfly. It then goes upwards to the primary menu.
- FernGully: The Last Rainforest -
- Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within - The Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment logo plays. Afterwards, the Torch Lady fades into Dr. Aki Ross as the wisps fly around her. It then zooms into her and some moments are played. It then zooms out of her, then it zooms into her wrist device and the options appear. This was the only time Sony incorporated one of their logos into a sequence like this.
- Finding Dory -
- Finding Nemo - The first edition has two sequences.
- Disc 1: Widescreen - The water is shown for a second with a flock of seagulls calling, then the camera pans down underwater. Marlin says "Where is it? Where is it?", then it fades in and Dory says "Oh, there's the menu. I knew it was around here somewhere.", and Marlin says "Really."
- Disc 2: Full Frame - The camera enters the dentist tank, then swims around it before zooming out for everything to be in the background, then the menu fades in.
- Finding Nemo (2012 Reissue) - The camera pans left to Marlin and Nemo’s anemone. The options fade in on a side tab.
- Fire and Ice - The pages turn then the protagonist is drawn onto the paper. He hits his enemies with his axe as he gains color, then he jumps down as the menu appears.
- Flushed Away - The screen pinholes open then the camera zooms into the toilet as Roddy, Rita, Le Frog, and Sid that flushes Roddy down stand on the lid.
- Flushed Away: 1000 Sing'n Slugs -
- The Fox and the Hound - There are two menu opening sequences.
- 25th Anniversary Edition - The birds fly by as the camera pans to the house.
- 2009 reissue - The camera zooms out and through the window, the main menu of which is underneath.
- The Fox and the Hound 2 - Tod and Copper chase each other to the main menu.
- Frankenweenie - Sparky curls up and sleeps at his own grave. The menu is generated by electricity.
- Free Birds - The screen fades in from black and the loop begins.
- Frosty the Snowman - Frosty sings his song as the children dance around him, then the window fades and the title is shown before he fades in and the menu fades in. (This is also the opening sequence of the sequel Frosty Returns, as this is a 2 filmed DVD)
- Frozen - A blue snowflake trail reveals the option bar.
- Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties - Garfield slides into the middle of the screen and smiles, then the suitcases land in front of him.
- Gnomeo & Juliet - A snail gets tossed over the fence then the camera lowers to the menu loop.
- The Good Dinosaur - The menu bar fades in and the loop fades in from black and shows multiple backgrounds from the film.
- The Great Mouse Detective: Mystery in the Mist Edition -
- Happily N'ever After - The screen swirls from black, then Munk says “Welcome, let’s find you the right menu. Now you’re talking I’m starving! No, Mambo, we ask the viewer a question we make a choice, and off they go! Oh! Umm, tell them to bring me back a pizza?” Munk says, “Whatever, here’s your question: which is your idea of fun? Dancing the royal ball, or having dinner with vicious wolves?” The sphere zooms out and there’s another one, and Munk says “Go ahead, pick one.” There are two side sequences.
- UK version Question: - Munk says "Whatever. Here's your question: Have you ever wanted to zap some know it all into a toad?", then Mambo says "Just answer this question, and you'll be on your way!".
- Good Side - The fairy godmother appears, then the options appear as Mambo says, "Oh, you've chosen the good side. You're so good! Goodie two shoes, the golden child! Such a good boy! You're a girl, you're a troll! Whatever! Great! Okay! I see who you are! Fine! Well, enjoy yourself! You knew you would end up on the good side, didn't you?", then Munk says "Hooray! Good for you! You are on the side of good! What a relief! All right! I knew this is what you would choose! Way to go! The wizard would be so proud!"
- Evil Side - The staff appears, then the options appear with lightning as Munk says "Hey, hey, hey! You tip the scales to the evil side. Did you mean to do that? Uh - oh! I smell trouble! Trouble, trouble, trouble! Oh, no! Are you sure you want to be associated with witches and trolls?", then Mambo says "Oh, my, my, my. You have chosen the evil side! I don't think the wizard will approve! Okay, what is the deal? Do you think trolls are just more fun? Hello, wrong! Oh, brother, I can't believe you picked the evil side. Geez."
- Happily N'ever After 2: Another Bite of the Apple - The menu unrolls, then Munk and Mambo appear.
- Happy Feet - The title shows then the camera zooms out to show the main menu.
- Hercules - Hercules appears in the stars then it moves to the side as the menu fades in.

- The Hunchback of Notre Dame II - The title plays and it fades up the tower to Quasimodo ringing the bell. The menu fades in.
- Ice Age - There are two sequences.
- Disc 1 - Sid, Manny, Diego, and Roshan slide down the ice tubes. The herd get separated into three separate tubes, so Sid and Diego crash into a snow wall first and the options surround their mark.

- Ice Age: The Meltdown - The iceberg flips over and the main menu appears on it.
- Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs - The dinosaur who’s mouth the camera is inside makes some loud footsteps then roars at the sky.
- Ice Age: Continental Drift - The Herd begin to square off with Captain Gutt and his friend, and the option bar scrolls in from the bottom.
- Igor - The screen is struck by a green lightning then the camera zooms into the tower to the main menu.

- Joseph: King of Dreams - The scenes play from the film, then the star shines over the screen and Joseph stands over the cliff as many animals stand behind, and the camera zooms out as the menu fades in.

- Lady and the Tramp - There are two menu opening sequences.
- Disc 1 - The camera zooms out of the photo of Lady and Tramp and the fireplace comes into view. The menu fades in.

- The Land Before Time XI: Invasion of the Tinysauruses - The camera shows a footprint, then shows smaller footprints, then it zooms between the trees to the title, then it fades to the menu loop. Littlefoot tries to bite at the tree. (Reused on its 2006 reissue)
- The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of the Flyers - The pterodactyls fly in formation. Petrie flies around happily and laughs excitedly, then flies past the screen to the menu loop.

How very nice. *gasp* VISITORS?! Why was I not informed? As the king’s majordomo I should have been the first to know! I’m completely unprepared! Well I suppose I’ll just have to improvise. *clears throat* Behold the wondrous realms of the pridelands.” After the last part, the camera gets to the side of the cliff and gets a view of the land as the options fade in.

- The Lion King: Diamond Edition - The camera zooms out of the sky, then Simba looks up, and the camera goes to Pride Rock.
- The Lion King 1 1/2 - There are two menu opening sequences.
- Disc 1 - The POV leaves the meerkat hole, then in the background an elephant pushes Pride Rock onto the set. The title is then brought down from the top, and then Timon pulls down on a rope and the sky background is pulled to reveal the start of the first film. After a few seconds he loses his grip and is yanked away, causing the original background to return.
- Disc 2 -
- The Lion King II: Simba's Pride: Special Edition - The camera zooms across the river and zooms out and shows the main menu as Kiara and Kovu watch the sky.
- The Lion King II: Simba's Pride (2012 Reissue) -
- The Little Mermaid: Platinum Edition - There are two menu opening sequences.
- Disc 1: Film - The camera starts in the sky and then it pans down. Ariel sits on a rock in the moonlight as the options fade in.

- Looney Tunes: Back in Action - The title plays and Bugs says "Quick, our movie's starting!" Daffy says "You mean my movie? Finally my very own movie." The title renames to "Daffy's Back in Action" and Daffy continues "Residuals, cable TV payments, don't forget the sequels!" - 13 Going on 30: Fun & Flirty Edition - the screen flashes white to the main menu.
- 15 Minutes - The text “AMERICA LIKES TO WATCH” goes over the screen along with many scenes from the film, then the title appears, and it goes to the main menu as a newsman says “hard to believe, watch”.
- 101 Dalmatians (1996) (2001, UK) - It counts to 101 while the screen gets covered in paw prints, then it zooms out and reveals the menu as Cruella fades in.
- 102 Dalmatians (Both releases) - Black marks go all over the screen then it pans right and Cruella raises her umbrella. The title appears.
- 1408 - The title plays then the key fades in and the options fade in beside it.
- 2 Fast 2 Furious - The car drives fast when it zooms out of the 2 in the film’s title, then the cars appear for the selection menu.
- Menu 1: Roman’s car - The purple car drives into the screen then multiple pictures are taken of it as it drives, then the menu appears.
- Menu 2: Brian’s car - The green car drives past the screen then the camera goes around it at different angles before the menu appears.
- Menu 3: Suki’s car - The anime girl jumps into the pink car and starts driving it, as the menu appears.
- After choosing, you cannot change to a different menu unless you reset the DVD. The Star Wars franchise, Catch Me If You Can, The Chronicles of Riddick, and Half Baked have this same struggle.
- 25th Hour - The screen cuts from black and a road sign is seen as a red line appears in the center of the screen, then it fades to the American flag as the line turns blue, then it fades and shows several people smiling, before finally fading to a view of New York. The lines from earlier extend and form the menu.
- 27 Dresses - The title plays and it zooms out of one of the dresses as the options draw themselves.
- 28 Days Later - It counts to 28 until it shows the film’s title while interspeeding with clips of the rage zombies, then it fades to London where Jim is wandering around. As he passes the screen, the menu is revealed.
- 28 Weeks Later - A radar scans earth then zooms into it, then zooms into London.
- 2012 - The title plays then multiple lines go past the screen to the main menu.
- 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Special Edition - The submarine swims past the screen, then the title shows as the submarine swims into the camera. The screen then pinholes to inside, and the options fade in on the window.
- 3:10 to Yuma (2007) - Pinholing from black, the title fades in at the start of the menu loop, and the options fade in as it begins to zoom out.
- 300 - Leonidas yells “SPARTANS! PREPARE FOR GLORY!” then it shows a battle sequence before cutting to the main menu
- 40 Days and 40 Nights - The number 40 appears then the title goes past the screen. the menu then forms.
- 50 First Dates - The TV screen says “GOOD MORNING LUCY” as Drew Barrymore’s character looks on intriguingly. The screen then says “HERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU MISSED” then the camera zooms out, showing the menu options.
- (500) Days of Summer - The menu fades from black.
- The 6th Day - Arnold Schwarzenegger has his scan then the options appear.
- 8 Mile - The screen fades in from black, the title appears, then the options appear at the top and lower to the bottom as Lose Yourself starts playing.
- 88 Minutes - The 88 minute timer (because of course) goes to 87:00, then it goes to the main menu.
- A Beautiful Mind - The loop in the bar begins while the title appears with the letters appearing one by one, then the options appear.
- About a Boy - Will Freeman narrates “The important thing in island living is to be your own activities director, and I find the key is to think of the day as units of time, each unit consisting of no more than 30 minutes. Taking a bath, 1 unit. Watching countdown, ok uhh, 1 unit. Exercising, 3 units. Having my hair carefully disheveled, 4 units.” then the menu appears. The title bounces at the top.
- About Schmidt - The title appears next to the clock on the wall. Warren Schmidt stares at it as it ticks, then the menu appears next to him.
- The Abyss: Special Edition - The camera enters Deep Core then turns around to the version selection menu. When you select one of them, the selected door opens as the menu fades in.
- Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls - The camera zooms into the comic.
- Across the Universe - The title plays in space then the options appear. Later, the title fades out and the card peels itself onto the menu.
- Adventureland - It says “Games” then “Rides” then the title is shown before it rolls up to the main menu.
- The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland - Elmo falls through a portal then holds a thin cloth as a parachute. He then lets it go and it falls towards the camera and Elmo holds it, and the menu fades in.
- After the Thin Man - The title appears then character shots of Nick and Nora and a dog zoom onto the background as the options slide from the bottom.
- Agent Cody Banks - The device opens to the main menu. (Shared on both UK and US dvd)
- A. I. Artificial Intelligence - David is found frozen then multiple lines go past the screen as the title and film’s logo appear on the screen as the menu forms.
- Air Bud: Special Edition - A basketball is thrown to the camera and goes through the hole in the middle as the menu appears.
- Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch -
- Air Buddies - Five balls go past the camera then the title spins forward as the menu appears.
- Airplane!: Don't Call Me Shirley Edition - The airplane safety instructions spin towards- no, that’s the Saucy Tales legs magazine. *rewind* The airplane safety instructions spin towards the camera and open up as an arrow goes along the bottom to hold the in-flight menu options.
- Akeelah and the Bee - “Akeelah” is written at the top first then it fades to the primary menu. The options appear in a way of how one would sound saying them out loud before turning normal, a practice that The Mummy did (with Egyptian hieroglyphs) and The Da Vinci Code did (letter scramble).
- The Alamo (2004) - The camera pans into the fortress as the background starts to appear, then the title appears as the menu fades in. (Some editions play a line of soldiers instead of the wall, the latter of which is the example used in this bullet point)
- Alexander and director’s cut - The screen fades from white. In the bordered part of the menu, the title plays only once.
- Alfie (2004) - The squares show up on the screen, then they slide off and the title and options are shown. The title then goes down and the menu loop plays.
- Ali - Part of one of the marches are played, then the title zooms into the camera then becomes a triangle in the corner, then the menu options slide in.
- Alice in Wonderland (2010) — The menu draws itself on.
- Alien - After the 20th Century Fox logo plays, it statics into green then text on the screen reads “TRANSMISSION INTERRUPTED, DOWNLINK FAIL/SYSTEM ERROR, STAND BY”. It then says “SYSTEM RESTART”. It then fades into the door and info on the nostromo appears on the screen and the text “OVERMONITORING ADDRESS MATRIX”, then it says “MOTHER ACTIVATED” and the door opens, revealing the main menu.
- Aliens - After a static, the screen says “squad location” pointing out a certain area of the spacecraft and Captain Burke can be heard saying “First squad up online, second squad move up” as the screen says “acquire remote camera feed” then the screen statics and we get a POV of someone, with the menu options on the side of his view
- Alien 3 - A yellow shine and some Xenomorph limbs can be seen in the background then the menu appears via an open up from the middle

- American Beauty - The screen fades in from black and the TV is playing.
- American Dreamz - A clip of Omer's performance is shown then it zooms out to the main menu.
- American Gangster - Showing the skyline, a red line goes across and opens up in a bloody fashion and zooms into the main menu.
- American Pie - The pointer clicks on “file” then “new” then clicks the title then clicks “get video” to display the video.
- American Pie 2 - The Universal logo plays, then the films title is plastered over it. It zooms into the screen as Jim’s dad says “Keep it real homies!” and it zooms out and goes away, revealing the menu.
- American Wedding - The pie from the first film appears then a wedding cake lands on top of it. The Unrated edition adds bondage equipment falling.
- American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile - The title shows then it moves to the side while Jim’s Dad is shown then other characters are shown before the menu becomes selectable.
- American Psycho: Killer Collector's Edition - The chainsaw rotates for a moment, subtly showing Patrick Bateman in the blade’s reflection, then it zooms out of the chainsaw, and the options appear below it
- An American Werewolf in London: Collector's Edition - The menu options and title shine onto the screen.
- Amistad - The screen fades in from black and the title zooms in at one end, at the other end the options come in from the bottom on wooden boards.
- Analyze That - A note with the title on it moves above the options.
- The Animal - Rob Schneider gets jumped by a dog then it cuts to the grass background, he grabs on a rope which then snaps, and the title cuts on at the top. The menu options are 5 different Marvins, each doing an action as they cut on.
- Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy - The title shows, then the TV lands on the yellow line as the options appear.
- Angels & Demons - The Angel statue appears and Latin words appear on the screen before the screen flashes white.
- Anger Management - The black at the center of the screen morphs into Adam Sandler, then into Jack Nicholson, then into both of them together, then into the menu.
- Annapolis - The screen cuts to the main menu.
- Annie: Special Anniversary Edition - The curtains open to the scene loop. Annie and her dog (in silhouette) sit in the row of chairs and the options cut in.
- Ant-Man - Scott tells Luis “Look, this is gonna get weird all right it’s pretty freaky, but it’s safe. There’s no reason to be scared.” Luis responds “No no no, daddy don’t get scared.” Scott says “Good”. He then closes the helmet and shrinks to a microscopic size, and the menu loop begins.
- Apocalypto - An outline of a tribal symbol is thrown past the screen to the main menu.
- Apollo 13 - A summary of the film plays using brief scenes, then the second O in the title zooms into the camera
- The Apple Dumpling Gang - The camera enters the Quake City Theater and the screen starts projecting the main menu. The title is written on a sign that hangs from the top.
- Aquamarine - The blue lines part to the main character. A camera snap is heard then the menu options slide on, the top word from the left and the bottom word from the right.
- Are We There Yet? - A road trip path is drawn across the middle then the options fade in.
- Are We Done Yet? - The screen pinholes to the title then the options appear as the house is drawn.
- Around the World in 80 Days - Phileas Fogg rides on his flying machine with Monique, who says “woohoo! You did it Phileas! We’re aflight!” Phileas responds “It’s.. magical” as the camera pans out and the whole earth is shown. The menu options appear at the bottom of the screen.
- Assault on Precinct 13 (2005) - The title plays then the camera zooms into the crosshairs as the menu appears.
- Austin Powers in Goldmember - The logos of the main characters appear in the order below then the title goes across the screen.

- 2010 rereleases - The title plays then the DeLorean disappears and the screen flashes white to the main menu.

- Bad Boys - The screen fades in from black, a plane flies over and the lights turn on, showing the title. The lower part fades in and starts playing scenes from the film as the options fade in.

- Barton Fink - Having set the place on fire, Meadows chases the titular character down a hallway. It then fades to a background form of the burning hallway and the options fade in.
- Basic - It starts raining, then thunder can be heard and it zooms into the trees to the main menu.
- Basic Instinct: Special Edition - The title plays then the ice pick cracks the background until the main menu appears.
- Basic Instinct 2 - The cigar smoke goes up as a background building is seen. It zooms closer to the smoke and the options cut in.
- Batman Begins - In the mountains, a man shows up to a league of shadows dojo, holding a blue flower. That man is Bruce Wayne. The screen then flashes white as it begins the menu loop.

- The Beach - The gulf of Thailand map is shown then it fades between character pngs as some of the scenes from the film play. The title then writes itself and the options fade in.

- The Benchwarmers - A flag goes past the screen then the camera zooms through the stadium until a character is hit on the helmet by the ball. The camera then pans downwards and a baseball bat also falls to serve as the option bar.
- Beneath the Planet of the Apes - The camera goes down a tunnel and zooms out of Cornelius’s eye to the main menu.
- Benjamin Button - The title plays then it fades to the photos as the only two options fade in as opposed to the average of four options.
- Beverly Hills Chihuahua - At the mansion, the main dog digs a hole then the screen sparkles to the main menu.
- Beverly Hills Cop: Special Collector's Edition - The radio starts playing Axel F then the title plays on one of the monitors. The biggest monitor then says “Victor Maitland’s Residence, Beverl hills, CA” and the smaller monitors are the options.
- Beverly Hills Cop 2: Special Collector's Edition - Axel F starts playing and the screen says “Beverly Hills Gun Club, Beverly Hills, CA 90210” and all the monitors and lights turn on as the menu appears.
- Bewitched (2005) - The sparkles the options on.
- Beyond the Sea - Bobby Darin, who sung the namesake song of the title, readies himself for his performance while multiple shapes go across the screen, then he walks out and the options fade in.
- The BFG - The screen fades in from black.
- Big Daddy - The title appears by a water pattern going upward while the sound of urination can be heard, then the screen fades to the main menu.
- Big Fat Liar - Many balls play scenes from the film. Kaylee comes and bumps a Marty circle away with her bum. The title falls down word by word with big slams, then the options fall at once. Kaylee pust them together.
- Big Fish - It goes over a hill before revealing the main menu which is based on the poster
- The Big Lebowski: Special Edition - Dude holds up a ball, then gives it to Maude to roll down the alley. As the bowling ball rolls, the options appear on it.
- Big Momma's House - A PNG of Malcolm Turner (in his disguise) walks up to the house as it fades in.
- Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure - The title plays. The characters are inside an elevator and Ted says “What’s that?” The options slide in.
- Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey - The title spins and plays as Bill and Ted fall through a void. Triangles slide onto the menu and they show the options.
- Billy Madison: Special Edition - The scene comes down from the top and the options stack on top of each other.
- The Birds - At this point I’m not gonna say what plays first, you already know. Afterwards, the menu spins into view.
- Birth - The middle part fades from white and the options fade in underneath.
- Black Hawk Down - It shows the first part of the background loop then the title and options appear along with a black bar.

- Black Swan - The feathers blow past the screen.

- Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - The screen fades in from black then the extras tab and menu options fade in together.
- Black Rain - The title begins to scroll past slowly as it plays extracts from the film then the options fade in.
- Black Widow - The camera zooms out of Black Widow and the menu fades in on the side bar.
- Blade - The scene plays where Blade's powers reactivate after drinking the blood of Karen Jensen. He arches backwards, then the menu fades in from black.
- Blade II - The screen flashes white and red goes over the screen as his face is shown, then the light bomb goes to the bottom of the screen as the menu loop begins and the menu forms.
- Blade: Trinity - A blade slash goes past the screen then the title goes to the top as Blade, Abigail Whistler and Hannibal King are shown, then the options slide onto the bottom.
- Blade Runner: The Final Cut - A grid forms then three tiles are put at the top of locations as the options appear.
- Blades of Glory - The screen pinholes open then the title shows as Chazz completes his act, the flame in the title coming from his hand. The narrator then announces “Chazz Michael Michaels, an ice devouring sex tornado, and Jimmy MacElroy, skating’s Little Orphan Awesome. Two men, only one winner.” then the menu bar appears.
- The Blair Witch Project - The camera footage fades in from black, then the menu flashes onto it.

- The Boondock Saints: Special Edition - Murphy and Connor hold their guns to a guys head and narrate “And shepherds we shall be. For thee, my lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to thee and teeming with souls it shall ever be. In nomine patris, et filli, *they cock their guns* et spiritus sancti.” and the screen flashes white to the main menu as they shoot.
- Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan - The coat of arms of Kazakhstan appears then the screen reads “KAZAKHSTAN MINISTRY OF INFORMATION PRESENTS” then the main menu forms. (The menu is formatted in Kazakh language, with English text options formatted in front)
- The Bourne Identity - The universal logo shows as orange then a cross hair appears and an orange fingerprint, then it zooms into the fingerprint which now has Jason Bourne standing inside it
- The Bourne Identity: Explosive Edition - Same as The Bourne Identity.
- The Bourne Supremacy - The grid appears then Jason Bourne punches some guys before the menu appears. The options are typed on.
- The Bourne Ultimatum - The title is typed on then the camera goes down a line as the options are typed on.
- The Bourne Legacy - The screen cuts from black and the menu bar slides on.
- Jason Bourne - The screen fades in from black.
- Bowfinger - Eddie Murphy runs across a busy street as others encourage him over, then the Bowfinger International Pictures van appears in front of him displaying the options. This menu does not show until after the film ends unlike most DVDs.

- Bride Wars - The rings appear on the screen as the loop begins.

- The Bridge on the River Kwai - The doors open and the title is shown. The title then fades out and a sketch of the bridge is drawn, then the camera zooms in and it fades to a scene of the bridge being built and the options fade in too. At the end of the loop, the scene fades to a drawing of the bridge.
- Bridge to Terabithia - Multiple drawings are placed onto the table until the menu appears. At one point, a phoenix drawing starts flying.

He then goes through another black and becomes a lawyer, the screen then blinds to the selection menu, where you can select which one you want to be. After selection, it then blinds sequences to the menu, dependent on your decision and same animation regardless.
- Catwoman - Selina’s eyes go slit then the action from the film is played, then the title shows and a blade goes on the side of the screen as the options appear.
- The Cave - One of the characters shine a flashlight into the cave, only to be attacked by one of the creatures. It then fades to the main menu.
- The Cell - The middle cube zooms out of the screen.

- After clicking activate - A flame covers the menu then scenes play from the film as a CGI transparent woman dances past the screen, then the satellite appears and the menu surrounds it.
- Die Hard - All of the first three Die Hard movies' sequences open the same way, with the 20th Century Fox logo visible, zooming into the "0." It then goes up the main building and part of it explodes (for the bonus features menu) before coming to a stop above the helipad, which serves as the main menu
- Die Hard 2 - After the first part, a plane flies past as the camera zooms into the watchtower, the menu inside

- Donnie Darko - The screen turns white then it fades to the mountains. Donnie stands up as the title and menu fade in.
- Doom - The planet moves out of the way and the title plays, then the title zooms into the camera. The O rotates to first person to a man in the hallway, structured like the game this film is based on, then it zooms out to the computer screen showing the menu and bodycam.
- The Doors: Special Edition - A voice says “Is everybody in?” then a montage of scenes and Jim Morrison play from the film, then a red and white circle goes around him and the menu forms.
- Doubt - The title slides in from the bottom while forming from white lines then the options appear one by one.

The fish appears, saying "Remember, the fish!".
- UK - The camera zooms out of the red and white striped hat, then the machine lever pops out of the hat to the right, then another to the left, then then the machine rises from above, then it shows the title. The options Play and Scenes spit out of the tube first to the left, then the options Set Up and Special Features spit out of the tube next to the right. But Conrad and Sally aren't there.
- Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas - The Grinch does his heinous act. During the part where he uses his hoover, the screen is sucked in then he addresses the Whoville "I did it! I am the grinch who stole Christmas!". The menu then fades in. The option to Max’s Playhouse falls from the top.
- Dr. Strangelove (2001 release) - The camera zooms out of the globe and a plane flies to reveal the Dr Strangelove part of the title. The rest of the long title comes out of the globe as it opens, then it goes back in and the menu comes out.
- Dragon Wars - The camera zooms out of the platform and the options fade in.
- Dragonfly - The camera pans along the paths as the screen interspeeds between scenes from the film, then the glowing light with the silhouette in it appears along with the menu.

- The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift - The screen fades in from black and DK says “Go!” as the menu then appears.
- Fast Food Nation - The title plays and the menu box fades in.
- Fast Times at Ridgemont High - Jeff Spicoli surfs on a wave as the menu forms.
- Fat Albert - Albert says his signature “Hey hey hey!” then the camera zooms out to the main menu.
- Fatal Attraction - The title places itself on the screen as the phone rings.
- Father of the Bride - The title is played then the photo and options fade in.
- FearDotCom - The narrator says “Do you like to watch?” and the url www.feardotcom.com (if this links don’t click it) is typed into the address then the menu displays.
- Ferris Bueller’s Day Off - The screen flashes white then it zooms into one of the photos as he says “Bueller. Ferris Bueller.” The camera goes around his billboard then zooms out as his to do list falls off revealing the menu.
- A Few Good Men: Special Edition - It first fades between multiple parts and characters from the film. Lt. Dan Kaffee then does a salute and the screen fades to the main menu.
- Field of Dreams - The sky is shown then the baseball players come out of the corn field as the menu fades in.
- The Fifth Element: Ultimate Edition - A symbol zooms into the camera and a statue is shown, then Leeloo takes a leap off the skyscraper as the menu options slide in.
- Fight Club - The screen statics then a smiley face appears as Tyler Durden laughs in the background, then it shows a film count and at 2, a hole burns through it.
- Fighting - Same as Duplicity.
- The Final Countdown - A plane battle plays then a newspaper spins toward the camera with the headline “WAR: OAHU BOMBED BY JAPANESE PLANES”, the screen then breaks and the camera zooms out of a tunnel to the main menu.
- Final Destination - Alex Browning’s face appears on the screen, half of it a skull (mirroring death). Many character photos flash around the screen and then the Flight 280 plane explodes at the top of the screen as the menu appears.
- Final Destination 2 - It zooms into Kimberly’s eye then clips of the disaster from the start of the film and some character deaths are shown before it cuts to the apartment main menu
- Final Destination 3 - It says “Final Destination 3” in a fairground font as a set of two doors, which then open to a roller coaster
- Finding Forrester - The screen fades from black.
- Finding Neverland - The title shows while a small light flies around, then the menu fades in and it opens to scenes from the film.

- First Blood (Special Edition) - Many character shots are shown with scenes from the film then the menu fades in.

- First Daughter - The title plays with a butterfly flying past it, then fades to the main menu.
- A Fish Called Wanda - The characters are shown then it zooms into the tank to the main menu.
- Flashdance - The title plays then four panels slide on to show scenes from the film as the options fade in.
- Flicka - The title plays then the young girl Kate rides the horse past as it wipes off to the main menu.
- Flight of the Phoenix - The plane crashing is partly shown before the Phoenix logo appears, flashing to the main menu.
- Flightplan - The airline video starts playing, then the camera zooms out as the menu fades in as it’s revealed that it’s playing on all of the screens.
- The Fly (1986) - A fly crawls over the camera, then Brundle’s lab fades in.
- Fly Away Home - The geese hatch, then they run around in the field with Tom Alden, then the flying machine takes off with the geese also flying as it fades to the main menu.
- Flyboys - The title plays and the menu borders begin to close in at the ends, then the options fade in after the title is gone.
- The Fog (1980) - The title shows as a cloud goes over the screen.
- The Fog (2005) - A symbol looking like this emoji ⚖️ appears on a wall then the Elizabeth Dane shows up.

- Footloose: Special Collector’s Edition - The title places itself onto the screen as three of the characters are shown, then Ren starts dancing as the options appear.
- The Fountain - The camera zooms out of the tree to show the menu.
- Forces of Nature - The sun shines then rain falls then snow falls then petals fly around as the menu appears.

- The Forgotten - The title plays then it fades to the main menu.

- Fracture - A marble is taken then put onto the structure.

- Freaky Friday -
- Freddy Got Fingered - The title plays then the card breaks to the main menu.
- Freddy vs. Jason - The camera pans down Jason’s mask as some murders are shown, and Freddy’s knife is placed on it as well. The options then flash on.
- The French Connection - The 20th Century Fox logo plays then it zooms through the 0 as scenes from the film start playing as the bridge forms.
- Frequency - The camera zooms past the sun, and a solar flare comes out and reveals the title, which zooms into the screen.
- Friday - The menu goes downwards.
- Friday After Next - A pair of cartoonish yellow eyes appear and look left and right, then the screen fades in and the Santa thief runs away from the police as the menu appears.
- From Dusk Till Dawn (Dimension Collector's Series) - Small briefs from the film play, then the title shows and moves to the top as two options appear, “play” and “main menu”. Main Menu is the traditional menu of the DVD although not accessed immediately, set at the bar Titty Twister.
- From Hell - The 20th Century Fox logo plays, but halfway through, it suddenly reverses very fast and a woman can be heard screaming. Jack the Ripper (camera POV) then comes out of an alleyway and walks onto the main road, saying “one day, men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th century.” A beating heart fades in at the bottom and the menu options are around it.
- Funny Girl - The theater marquee draws itself in.
- G-Force - The G logo zooms into the camera, then the camera zooms into the title. The menu begins to form via an outline, then the CIA logo slides in at the bottom along with the options.
- Galaxy Quest - The spaceship flies through space then the camera zooms out of the screen and the menu shows.
- The Game Plan - The outlines of the furniture slide onto the screen, then they are shaded in to form the apartment as the options fade in.
- Gandhi - Scenes from the film play then the screen turns white to the main menu.
- Gangs of New York - the camera zooms out of the US flag, then at the bottom half of the menu, Amsterdam, Jenny Everdeane and Bill The Butcher fade in, and on the flag the title fades in.
- Garden State - On the blue background, a portion of it fades to a scene loop and lines magnify part of it. The options fade in.
- Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties - Garfield slides into the middle of the screen and smiles, then the suitcases land in front of him.
- George of the Jungle 2 - A toucan flies across holding a picture of George, it then flies into a palm tree and gets knocked out by a coconut, then it’s limp body lands on every drum as they become the menu options.
- Get Rich or Die Tryin - A microphone goes past the screen to show the menu.
- Ghost -
- 2001 - A light begins to shine from the corner and the options shine on.
- 2004 Special Collector’s Edition- The title plays then the menu begins to fade on as the Unchained Melody starts playing.
- Ghost in the Shell - The options fade in.
- Ghost Rider - Johnny gets on his fiery bike then the camera zooms into his eyehole.
- Ghost Ship - The ship is shown then it cuts to the side of the boat and zooms into a lit window to the main menu.
- Ghosts of the Abyss - A room overrun with moss and reeds fades to an area of the Titanic (because this film is about the making of that film, which is listed near the end of this header), then the camera rotates around this CGI room before the menu options fade in.
- G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra - The title plays then the menu loop begins.
- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo -
- 2009 - The titular tattoo is shown and the title plays, then the photo frame fades in and the options fade in.
- 2011 - The options fade in, this is before anything in the menu loop happens.
- Ginger Snaps - The screen quickly fades in from black and blood splats on the background as the options cut in. A growl can be heard.
- The Girl Next Door - Matthew Kidman says “I will always remember the girl next door.” then it fades to the menu.
- Girl with a Pearl Earring (Pathe) - The camera pans across the titular painting, then it zooms out and the title shows. The screen then fades to black then fades to the menu.
- Gladiator: Extended Edition - It shows many scenes of maximus as three texts appear on the screen. “General”, “slave”, then the title rolls across the screen as it zooms up to Rome’s skyline.
- Glengarry Glen Ross - The characters are shown individually then the train passes as the menu fades in.
- Glory Road - A camera light flashes then the title appears.
- The Golden Compass - The menu loop starts playing and the options appear by the blowing dust.
- Goal! The Dream Begins - Part of the footage of a football (soccer; this is a British film) match is shown. One of the footballs leaves a trail where the options fade in.
- The Godfather trilogy (2008 releases) - The screen and options fade in from black to:
- First film - Vito’s tomato field, where he dies while playing with his grandson.
- Part II - An outside view of the boathouse at Lake Tahoe, Michael inside.
- Part III - Under the bridge, with Frederick Keinzig hanging.
- Goldeneye: Special Edition - The eye is shown then the title plays as the narrator says “Welcome to the Goldeneye Special Edition DVD. Please activate your navigation system now.”
- After clicking activate - The earth zooms into the screen and the title plays again as a woman’s eye zooms in and the menu interface opens. The earth places itself in the middle of the turbine and the option bars surround this device.
- Goldfinger: Special Edition - The title plays then the narrator says “Welcome to the Goldeneye Special Edition DVD. Please activate your navigation system now.”
- After clicking activate - The earth zooms into the camera then the characters Bond and the film’s villain (named after the film) are shown as women dance. Audio then plays from the film of Pussy Galore saying “I’m beginning to like this Bond.” and Bond saying” Call me James.” The menu then appears.
- Gone Baby Gone - The screen fades in from black and the letters of the options fade in one by one like the title in A Beautiful Mind.
- Gone in 60 Seconds - Nicolas Cage’s car speeds up more and more as scenes from the film play, and the title shows one words at a time before the menu appears.
- Gone with the Wind: Four-Disc Collector's Edition - The camera zooms out of the house and the menu borders slide in from the top and bottom. The title then slides across the top of the bottom border as the options and Vivian Leigh fade in. This opening can be comparable to Troy, which has a near identical menu layout and is by the same home entertainment service.
- GoodFellas: Two-Disc Special Edition - The main characters are placed on the menu when it opens up, then the title appears one letter at a time as the options scroll on, then Jimmy Conway, Henry Hill and Tommy Devito appear as how they appear on the poster
- Good Morning Vietnam: Special Edition - The loop begins as Adrian Cronauer yells the film's title. The menus elements then slide onto the screen.
- The Good Shepherd - The CIA logo appears on the screen as small snippets from the film play, before the menu appears.
- The Goonies - The camera enters the cave. A compass scrolls in at the bottom and the options fade in at different parts.
- Gosford Park -
- R1 - The camera enters the house then the menu borders scroll in and the title and options fade in.
- R2 - The screen turns to the main menu in blindfold fashion.
- The Gospel - The title plays then it flashes to the menu.
- Gothika - The screen fades from black in the jail, then the menu fades in.
- Grease: Rockin' Rydell Edition - The T Hawks logo is shown then the zipper unzips the menu loop open.
- Great Expectations (2012) (US DVD I think) - The menu borders ends fade in then it plays a small scene where a young Pip runs home. That part of the screen then fades to black as the options fade in.
- The Great Gilly Hopkins -
- The Great Muppet Caper - Kermit, Gonzo and Fozzie enter the Happiness Hotel. A bed goes into the wall as the menu appears on its underside.
- The Greatest Game Ever Played - An 18 appears on the screen, then it goes to hole par, and a 1 zooms towards the screen. The title and menu fades in.
- The Greatest Showman -
- Green Room - The title plays then it pans left, the options fade in.
- Greenberg -
- The Green Mile - The camera zooms into the prison where John Coffey is to have his death row. A guard walks down the hallway as a bright light fills the place as the menu appears.
- Grindhouse -
- Death Proof - The car turns around then the menu appears.
- Planet Terror - The title plays then the camera zooms into it to the main menu loop.
- Groundhog Day: Special Edition - The WBPH 9 News logo plays then the block spins around to the map of the town, which is the main menu with the buildings as options.
- Grown Ups - The pictures are placed everywhere then the menu options appear.
- The Grudge - The menu options slide from the bottom after a few seconds.
- Guardians of the Galaxy - Peter Quill puts his tape in the player, and Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Swede starts playing. Groot walks by and curiously inspects it before the menu appears.
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - Yondu’s arrow flies about then the camera swiftly pans left to the menu. It hits the right side of the screen then that turns into the extras tab.
- Guess Who? - The title plays and a png of Simon Green and Percy Jones sitting on the couch together goes past the screen, and the middle part opens as the menu scrolls in.
- A Guy Thing - The background appears and the main character is put. A text narrator points at him and says “this is Paul.” A bride is put and the text says “this is the girl who is to marry Paul.” A second female is put and the text says “this is the cousin of the girl who is to marry Paul.” The text finalises as “who can only do…” then the title plays and the options slam down from the top.
- Halloween - The films title shows in the background as the camera zooms into a CGI pumpkin. The pumpkin explodes then Michael Myers turns his head as the options fade in.
- Halloween: Resurrection - It switches on then it shows Laurie say “Hello Michael” before playing multiple scenes from the film before the title and options fade in.
- Halloweentown High - Lightning strikes everything onto the menu.
- Half Baked - There are two opening sequences:
- 🚬 - A marijuana zooms into the camera then out. The transition is noticeably based on the transition from the 1966 Batman TV show. A hookah then rises from the bottom and a cloud of smoke covers the menu, as the options appear as characters cough and splutter.
- 🚭 - Same as the above for the first part. For the rest, a character says “I’ll pretend I’m Jamaican, man!” then another says “You have smoked yourself r#####ed.” The options then pop onto the menu.
- Hancock - The title and menu slide in at the top and bottom respectively.
- Hannibal - A faulty camera footage takes place in Florence and zooms into a person walking (Hannibal) as the title letters appear one by one, then statics to the menu.
- The Happening - The sky is shown in weird patterns then the screen fades to the main menu.
- Happy Gilmore: Widescreen Special Edition - Happy Gilmore has a few rounds of golf then it zooms into the hole to the main menu.
- Happy Go Lucky - The car drives and plays the title as it’s trail, then the camera starts panning right as the option bar appears.
- Hard Candy - The menu options type themselves at the bottom.
- Harold and Kumar go to White Castle - the title plays then the camera zooms down to earth. The characters are driving in their car.
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone - The Warner Bros. logo appears in the clouds, then various scenes are seen in them too before the clouds disappear and it shows Hogwarts
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - Harry and Ron fly to Hogwarts in the flying car, as they drive in front of the Hogwarts express in shock. It then does the clouds thing once more. Afterwards, Harry and Ron crash into the whomping willow
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - The clouds again, then the knight bus drives into the screen and then down a road of Muggle London, the shrunken head then says “Yes take it away Ernie! Fasten your safety belts, clench your buttocks, is gonna be a bumpy ride HAHA!”
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - An owl flies through Hogwarts to the great hall, where the goblet of fire is. As the window opens, 3 papers emerge from the goblet of fire, “play movie”, “scene selections” and “languages”. The goblets flame’s are purple until the main menu
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - The camera zooms into a London telephone box, which then enters the underground - based ministry of magic. The title then shows and a banner of the corrupt minister of magic Cornelius Fudge unrolls
- Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - In Dumbledore’s office, it enters the memory pensive as memories begin to swim around, then form the menu
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 - Voldemort lets his snake Nagini out who then eats the camera, prompting the menu loop to begin (this may not classify as an intro sequence as it shows in the menu loop but I’ll list it just in case, remove if needed)
- The Haunted Mansion - The camera zooms into the house, then lightning strikes twice, one shows the title, and one shows the menu.
- The Haunting - The camera zooms into the mansion. Once inside, the camera lowers and the menu appears.
- Hellboy - Rasputin stands in front of his portal, then the screen is burned to the tunnel, where the menu is.
- Hellboy II: The Golden Army - After the title shows and a capsule opens, Hellboy fights the last elemental, as it falls, it cuts to the menu.
- Herbie: Fully Loaded - Herbie drives across a red, white, and blue track. The options fade in on part of it, and the camera zooms out as Herbie smiles to the viewers.
- Hereditary - The title plays then the options fade in.
- Hero (2002) - A black trail goes around and eventually goes across the screen. The title and options fade in on it.
- Hidalgo - The screen fades in from black and the title zooms onto the screen, then a fire burns in the middle of the screen as the menu and scene from the film appears.
- High School Musical - In the hallway, Gabriella pulls Troy’s hand then the screen fades to the main menu as “Were all in this together” starts playing. A locker door opens and the menu is on the inside of it.
- High School Musical: Remix - The curtains open then the title shows up, then a stagehand pulls a rope which holds the word “remix”, then it fades to the main menu.
- High School Musical 2 - All of the characters are shown, then all of the cotton puffs are pulled and the title is revealed, then the screen is splashed to the main menu.
- The Hills Have Eyes (2006) - The title plays then the screen glows brightly to the main menu.
- The History Boys - The title plays then it moves as part of the screen opens up to play the scenes and menu.
- A History of Violence - Some scenes from the film play, then the title shows and the options fade in. The background fades to Stall’s Diner.
- Hitch - A black line spins onto the background and wipes from the left side to reveal the main character, then the options cut in next to it.
- The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - The screen glitches then the don’t panic symbol appears. The menu bars then appear.
- Hobo with a Shotgun - The Hobo says the film's title.
- Hoffa - The screen fades between multiple scenes of Jimmy Hoffa before fading to the car, then the menu bar fades in.
- Holes - The camera zooms into the hole as the young characters flash on the screen.
- The Holiday - The character squares and menu slide across a black line.
- Holiday Inn - The camera zooms towards the place. The title then plays and a musical string comes and displays the options. The second disc of the 2008 release plays a colored version of the sequence.
- Hollow Man - It zooms into the films title, then on a computer screen, all of the phases are activated, then the camera zooms over to the machine holding the serum that makes Sebastian invisible and into it. The molecules inside arrange and form the menu.
- Hollow Man 2 - The letter Ls fly around, then the main character fades in and the options zoom onto the menu.
- Home Alone: Family Fun Edition - The screen fades in from black then the house rotates.
- Honey - The camera is inside a square room and the title plays as flashy lights. Scenes from the film begin to adorn the walls, then the camera zooms out to the options.
- Honeymoon in Vegas - The camera pans up the cards structure. The characters stand on the top of it as the title appears and the options cut in.
- Hook (UK release) - The title flies towards the camera on a map then Captain Hook tears it in half. A light then shines in the background and Tinker Hell flies into it as it shines to Pete flying to Neverland. Clouds then pass the screen and the camera pans down to the menu, and Tink flies past as the options appear.
- Horrid Henry: The Movie - The gates to brick house open and a purple hand is splatted on the O in Movie.
- Hostage - The title plays and the options appear one by one. The crosshairs appear on the screen.
- The Hot Chick - The mist disappears and then the mirror is shown, the options are wiped onto it.
- Hot Fuzz - It shows the title then the main characters suit themselves up in fast speed then an explosion happens. It then rewinds the explosion into the police station, and the camera enters the station and past Turner, who looks up briefly before looking down again. As we enter the office, Angel says “Could you tell the inspector I’ve arrived please?” and the camera pans around the room, the options on a board.
- Hot Shots - A fighter jet flies around as the menu appears.
- Hot Shots: Part Deux - A Rambo spoof shoots a chicken at the camera as the menu options come down from the top like feathers.
- Hotel for Dogs -
- Hotel Rwanda - The screen fades in from black, then Paul fades in, then the title fades in, then the menu fades in.
- The House Bunny - The characters are shown then the camera pans upwards as the menu borders and options appear.
- House on Haunted Hill - The Warner Bros Home Video logo plays then the doors open, lightning strikes as all of the lights turn on. The options fade in at different parts of the room.
- House of 1000 Corpses - The outside of Captain Spaulding’s place is shown then it fades inside to the main menu. You are met by Spaulding himself, with his actor the late Sid Haig reprising his role. Many people loved this opening, with most calling it “the best dvd menu ever”.
- House of Wax - A dead body is seen covered in wax as it drips off then it zooms lower into the menu, and the title fades in in the form of the titular building as the options appear.
- How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days - The title plays and the calendar pages peel to 10 in order to finish it.
- Hulk - A heartbeat pulse appears on the screen, and various scenes of Dr. Bruce Banner are shown. Near the end, he becomes angrier and angrier, then Hulk roars as he escapes the tank. The screen then cuts to the menu.
- The Human Stain - A car drives on a snowy road then the menu fades in.
- The Hunger Games - The mockingjay logo appears then it fades to the menu.
- The Hunt for Red October - The screen fades in as Marko looks at the screen. A red line makes the options appear.
- The Hunters (2013) -
- The Hurt Locker - The title plays then the camera rotates to the menu loop as the options slide from the bottom.
- The Hustler - The camera zooms out of a frame of someone playing pool as the options slide in from the bottom, then it fades to a picture of Eddie Felson.
- I Am Ali -
- I Know What You Did Last Summer: Special Edition - The screen waves like water as the title appears then the fisherman slashes the screen with his hook to the scene loop and displays the options.
- I, Robot - The screen statics on then Dr. Lanning says “there has always been ghosts in the machine”. It then goes to the main menu.
- I-Spy - Lasers go around the place then part of them opens to the scene loop as the title comes and the options slide on.
- Ice Princess - The ice rink fades in and each option icon slides over the curve as all of the text sparkles on.
- Identity - The camera goes down a road then zooms into the motel. The options are signs around it.
- Idiocracy - The great garbage avalanche of 2505, which would set in motion the events that would change the world forever, begins. It enters Joe Bauer’s apartment, and he says “hold on” with his headphones in. The camera turns to his screen. He is watching “Ow! My balls!” starring Hormel Chavez, which is surrounded by the options.
- The Illusionist - The title “Eisenheim: The Illusionist” shows then three balls go past, the last one explodes in butterflies to Eisenheim conjuring a blue cloud which turns it to the main menu.
- In America - The screen fades in from black.
- In Dreams - The camera pans over to the doorway then the menu fades in as the title shakes rapidly.
- In Good Company - Letters of the title fall around while in boxes, multiple scenes from the film are played. The letters then fall on top of each other at the end, and the options fade in.
- In the Line of Fire - The phone rings and you have to click your remote to answer it. Afterwards, Clint Eastwood holds the phone and says “What do you see when you’re in the dark and the demons come?” The other guy says “They see you, Frank. They see you standing over the grave of another dead president.”
- The Incredible Hulk - Bruce Banner’s heart rate increases more and more, then it shows his transformation into Hulk, and he roars as the camera zooms out of the hexagon.
- Independence Day - The text "ID4" appears on the screen, then an alien ship dispatches from its mothership, and various ascend to earth to many locations, it then cuts to the White House as one of the ships lowers itself above it, after which you are then allowed to pick your version of the film
- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - A train is shown then it enters one of the carriages, revealing the title, then the train goes past the screen.
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - A minecart goes past the screen, as it rides on its rails, the title is shown, then the minecart goes into the screen and the menu appears.
- Inglourious Basterds -
- Inside Man - The title plays then the camera zooms into the second I. It turns into a line of TVs as the options fade in.
- Insomnia - The camera zooms over the snow forest, then blood starts leaking onto something then the screen flashes white as it goes to the main menu, as a gunshot is heard.
- Inspector Gadget 2 - A gear appears and one of Gadget's devices holds a 2 in the middle of it, the gear then spins to the menu.
- Interstellar - The screen fades in from black and the shelf is shown. It then fades to black again then fades in to the menu.
- Interview with the Vampire - A fire burns over the screen, then the title moves over to the top and the options zoom in from the background. Part of it fades between a portion of the film’s characters, starting with Lestat.

- Invincible - The screen fades in from black and the menu bar slides across the screen. The options fade in.
- Iris - The title plays and a letter is written in the background, then the screen fades to the main menu.
- Iron Man - Iron Man’s suit activates then he places the menu onto the screen.
- Iron Man 2 - The camera zooms out of the stark expo logo then the loop begins.
- Iron Man 3 - Jarvis says “welcome home. Online and ready.” then it turns into the reactor and the camera zooms up to the menu.

- 1969 - The title begins to show on the screen word by word as the character of Michael Caine counts from 5. After 1, he says “Go!” and a car explodes. The title shows fully and he angrily says “You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!” The minis then drive through the title card and take their positions for the main menu as "On Days Like These" starts.
- 2003 - The title reveals then the camera tilts upwards and the 3D map starts to form.
- Jackass: The Movie - The TV's theme song and it's logo play along with the title then the menu appears.
- Jackass Number Two - Same as above, then the title is stamped underneath then the options slide on as the logo is replaced by the menu.
- Jackie Brown - Jackie Brown goes to Ralston’s place, types “#203*” on the keypad, then says her name. The door then opens and the title plays as the menu appears.
- James Bond Ultimate Edition DVDs - The 007 logo shows, then Bond walks into view and does his famous gun barrel as the camera zooms in, the title of the installment plays then the menu loop begins. On some, he says “Bond, James Bond.”
- Jarhead - The soldiers are shown then the menu borders fade in as the title fades letter by letter, then the options fade in.
- Jason Goes to Hell - A fire burns down the screen and shows the menu.
- Jason X - Jason Vorhees pursues the characters then the screen explodes to the main menu.
- Jaws - The title scrolls across the screen slowly while playing the scene from the start of the film. Once the girl is pulled underwater, the screen fades to the main menu. The 2012 release also plays this scene, the options fading in 3 seconds later and the scene not being replayed for the rest of the DVD.
- Jaws 2 - The screen fades in from black and the title begins to zoom in, it turns red as the options appear.
- Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back - The screen is rolled over by a white sheet, then the fist punches through it and the knuckle duster displays the film title. Another one is rolled over then punched through again, this time with the menu.
- Jeepers Creepers - The camera pans across the fabric until going to the menu, where it is shined on as the characters look down the tunnel.

- Special Edition - The Miyagi Dojo logo forms then zooms towards the camera. This then fades to the main menu.
- Remake - A red star zooms into the camera and a symbol is drawn as Dre performs a kick, it then goes to the main menu.
- Kermit's Swamp Years - The title shows on a wooden sign, then the leaves part to the main menu where Kermit and Goggles sit in the water.
- Kick-Ass - The title plays in a pencil drawn form then it’s splatted to get color, then it zooms out to the main character as the options appear.
- Kicking and Screaming - A football is kicked at the screen then the title plays, another one goes past the screen then the main menu starts playing.
- Kill Bill: Volume 1 - The screen goes down some Japanese symbols as a black liquid drips down the menu while the song from Twisted Nerve is played, then the anime is placed onto the menu, the title appears, and blood splatters the options on.
- Kill Bill: Volume 2 - The POV drives down a road, then a sword sound plays as the middle part of the screen is sliced open revealing The Bride.
- King Arthur - The title slams onto the background then the options fade in as the film clips start playing. This is used on both cuts, though non-English releases omit the title.
- The King of Comedy - The Jerry Langford Show logo is shown as a presenter says “Will you please give your warmest welcome to the newest king of comedy, Rupert Pupkin!” then it fades to black and a spotlight is shined at the title. The lights then brighten and it shows the room and the main menu. The language selection menu can be seen on the right of the menu.
- King Kong (2005) - It zooms into the camera lens then the title plays (named as “King Kong: The eighth wonder of the world) as it fades to the scene loop.
- Kingdom of Heaven - The title shows then the menu fades in. (Non-English versions omit the title.)
- Kingsman: The Secret Service - Harry adjusts his tie then the gun case opens up to the menu loop.

The other half was shot by this man.” Steve Oedekerk then appears and says “Hey, where’s my ears?” and he gets a wig put on him, turning him into the film’s protagonist. The narrator continues “Who by the miracle of modern day technology has been integrated and transformed into… The Chosen One!” The protagonist then appears and throws some punches. The screen then says “WARNING: This film may contain odd sounds” and then the menu appears. They are originally in Chinese, but the protagonist punches them to turn into English.
- L.A. Confidential - The photographers are taking their photos then a newspaper zooms in and displays the options.
- Ladder 49 - The screen interspeeds with 3 short shots from the film, including the DVD’s play sequence. Afterward, the burning building is shown then the clips of the main character living a happy life before getting trapped in there are shown as the menu loop.
- Lady in the Water - Cleveland Heep shines his flashlight in the water, then the screen flashes white and zooms out of the pool.
- The Ladykillers - A dollar bill flies past the screen, reveals the menu, then falls into the water below.
- Lake Placid - The camera goes to the lake and zooms in. The large crocodile then lunges out, a photo gets taken, and it zooms out of that photo on a notice board to the primary menu.
- Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The camera zooms out of an illuminati like logo, the the compass is placed in the middle of it, and the compass opens to the main menu.

The main menu options come out from under the picture of the medical ground.
- Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World - The red lines at the top and the bottom expand themselves, then the options fade in as the camera shows the HMS Surprise.
- The Master of Disguise - The squares form into the spinner then Pistachio’s disguises place themselves onto it.
- Matchstick Men - Playing a scene with all sorts of presentation effects attached to it, Nicolas Cage gets ready for his morning. The title then slides in letter by letter, then so do the options.
- Matilda: Special Edition - The screen swirls from black then the title comes out as Matilda smiles at the viewer, and some objects and character circles come out as well.

- Men in Black - The privacy warning forms part of the intro sequence. Agent K narrates “We are the best kept secret in the universe. Our mission is to monitor extra terrestrial activity on earth. We are your best, last, and only line of defense.” *the hands are scanned as he says this* “We work in secret, we exist in shadow.” The hand scan completes, and it zooms out to the door. Agent J says “And we dress in black.” as the doors open and it zooms into the menu. (On some releases, nothing is said at all)
- Men in Black II - The agents leave the elevator and go to room 6D. The D falls off the door after it is knocked, and the door opens to the main menu.
- Men of Honor - The title plays then the camera zooms over to the menu options on the water.
- The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc - Plenty scenes from the film play while the words “witch” “lunatic” “warrior” “savior” “legend” appear on the screen. The title then zooms out of the camera and the options fade in.

- Miracle on 34th Street: Special Edition - The camera zooms into the 34th street sign and the text appears on the screen "Do you believe in Miracles?" The menu faeds in. (This is the same in both the colored version and the b&w version)
- Misery - The title is typed in the typewriter, then it fades to the menu.
- Miss Potter - The screen fades in from black and the menu fades in.
- The Missing - A moment from the film is played then it fades to the main menu after Chidin looks at the camera.
- Mission: Impossible: Special Collector's Edition - A fuse lights then fire comes out of the bottom as the IMF logo appears. It then turns around and turns into a gridded ball. The camera then zooms into it and it shows a few moments from the film (one of which is the iconic rope scene) before zooming inside it and the IMF logo appears again. The options surround it. Many of this transition’s movements are in beat to the main theme song, which plays in the background.
- Mission: Impossible 2 - The text appears on the screen “urgent transmission” then Earth appears as the camera zooms into it, then IMF appears as it zooms out to the menu with Ethan Hunt’s face in the background.
- Mission: Impossible III - As the buildings emerge out of the ground, the IMF logo appears at the bottom and the menu bar unrolls out of it.
- The Mist - The title zooms into the background then a mist cloud opens to the scene loop as the options fade in.
- Mona Lisa Smile - The title is drawn then the menu options fades in.

- MouseHunt - The title slides onto the screen and the guy’s head bobs up, and the menu options slide on also.
- Mr. 3000 - The title plays and zooms into the camera then the menu displays on one of the screens.
- Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005) - The house hades in from black and the menu options slide on.

- Mrs. Doubtfire - Daniel is shown. He thinks about his ex-wife and his children, so he dresses like a woman but then he gets an idea. A cloth goes over him and he is transformed into Mr. Doubtfire. The doorbell then rings and the door goes past the screen to the main menu.
- Mufasa: The Lion King - The characters stand together, then Zazu flies past the screen and the side menu fades in.
- The Mummy - The title shows on the screen then the coin throws itself at the camera just like every other transition.
- The Mummy Returns - The universal logo displays then turns yellow, then sand blows across it then it’s shown as an Egyptian rune. It then zooms out and it is a door to a tomb. The door opens. As your character walks in, they look right and something appears to be glowing in a smaller cave (part of another menu). When they arrive at the main door to the tomb, some Egyptian hieroglyphs translate themselves into the options.
- The Scorpion King - A scorpion logo zooms into the camera then Mathayus can be seen as the camera supersedes between fight scenes and zooming into his home land. A blade is then thrown past the screen to the main menu.

- The Muppet Christmas Carol - The camera starts outside then it zooms out, and through the window into the house. The menu fades in.

- National Lampoon's Animal House: Double Secret Probation Edition - The Universal logo gets a Greek leaf ring and inflates until it explodes to everyone’s shock. Bluto then says “I’m a zit! Get it?”
- National Lampoon's Vacation: 20th Anniversary Special Edition - Marty Moose appears then a roller coaster goes past the screen to the main menu.

- First Edition (2002) - Model Ivana Bozilovic stands and blows a kiss at the viewer, then her shirt comes into view and the menu is on it.
- Special Edition (2006) - A golf cart drives around then the sign for the college is shown, it then shows a map of it as the menu appears on it.
- National Lampoon's Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj - The Union Jack unrolls over the background then the menu components slide on.
- National Security - The stands put themselves up. It zooms into them and plays scenes from the film corresponding to them, then the menu comes, displayed on a badge.
- National Treasure - The backgrounds writings begins to fade in as John Adams Gates says “A treasure. A treasure beyond all imagining.” then it fades out and shows the full background of text. The illuminati makes the options appear.

- The Nativity Story - The star zooms into the background, then the options and title fade in. During the menu loop, the star turns into clips from the film.

- Notorious - The screen flashes white between two different frames of Biggie to the beat of his famous song “hynotize”, then it zooms into him as the menu begins.
- Notting Hill - The title plays then various scenes from the film play before the menu falls.
- Novociane - One of the dentist lights are turned on. The title is shown in the light then it shines to the main menu.
- The Number 23 - The title plays then it zooms into the menu.
- Nutty Professor II: The Klumps - The letters of “nutty” go onto the screen one by one, then the word “professor ii” slams onto the menu with a slam, shaking everything, then each option appears one by one.
- Ocean's 11 - It counts to 11 then the menu appears.
- The Odd Life of Timothy Green - The leaves and photos start falling and the options fade in.
- Office Space (Special Edition with Flair!) - The camera dramatically pans around Milton’s stapler, then a post it note is placed onto the screen as the menu.
- Oldboy - The photos of the family are shown then it zooms out of the main character’s eye as action from the film is shown, then it zooms out of one of the photo frames to the main menu.
- Old Dogs - Scenes from the film play separated by a white flash, then it zooms out of the picture to the main menu.

- Oliver Twist (2005) - The book opens, and shows the characters Oliver and Fagin then turns to the main menu.
- Olympus has Fallen - The menu loop begins as a large fighter plane flies over the White House and pulls out its guns.
- The Omen - The animation has 3 brief segments. One is “the birth” the second is “the child”, and the last is “the mark”, on the last one it flashes the 666, then various death scenes from the film play before the main menu finally appears. The sequels have similar opening sequences but with different words and different scenes.
- Damien: Omen II says “the gift, the revelation, the ordained”
- The Final Conflict says “the ascension, the prince, the reckoning”
- The Omen (2006) - It shows the film title, and the 666 bends into what Damian’s birth mark looks like, then the title turns into the word “nomen” and the camera zooms out of a bible verse to the options, where Damian is seen swinging.
- On the Waterfront - The title plays then the photo playing scenes from the film fades in as the options go up and down as they appear.
- Once Upon a Time in America - The scene where the kids are in the street. The scene then freeze frames and the camera pans up to the bridge. The films main characters fade in. The screen then fades to black, then fades in from black to the same bridge image but fragmented. The title plays, then the options fades in.
- Once Upon a Time in Mexico - A fiery background covers the black screen and the camera zooms into a scorpion. Scenes from the film begin to play as the options slide in.
- The One - It counts to 0 then Jet Li is sucked up and it goes to the main menu.
- Open Range - The main character is shown on his horse then it fades to the menu as the options slide in.
- The Other Boleyn Girl - The camera zooms into a gem to the menu loop and the options fade in.
- The Others - The title card plays then the screen cuts to the main menu.
- The Outsiders: The Complete Novel - The camera zooms into the book then it fades to the page of the “as I walked out” part, then the page rips to the main menu.
- The Oxford Murders - Mathematic symbols start flying towards the screen, then the menu fades in from black.
- The Pacifier - Shaun Wolfe's spy life is shown on screen, then it zooms out and reveals his monitor, surrounded by child toys.
- Pan’s Labyrinth - The title shows as it zooms down a sculpture of Fauno’s head. Below it plays various scenes from the film as the options fade in.
- Panic Room - The camera enters the room then the door closes, revealing the menu on it.
- Paparazzi - A camera flashes every time an option appears.
- Paramount Centennial Collection - The Paramount logo is shown, without a byline. A golden ring drops down, turning the logo gold. It then wipes to the main menu. This is the only sequence of any kind used on titles released in the line.
- The Parent Trap (1961) - The twins are seen together with a love heart, then the menu is put together as “Let’s Get Together” plays. The menu is made from arts and crafts.
- The Parent Trap (1998) - The twins (who don’t know they’re related yet) turn around to see each other and are shocked to see they look alike. Multiple lines go past the screen to the main menu.
- Patch Adams - The scene loop fades in in the sky then a butterfly flies onto the title. Both editions have the same intro sequence but accustomed to their menu designs.
- The Patriot - Benjamin Martin runs as the British soldiers attempt to shoot at him, then a row of British soldiers appear and they fire their guns, and the screen explodes to the main menu.
- Patriot Games: Special Collector's Edition - The camera zooms over a skyline then a car explodes. Miller (who’s wearing a mask) shoots at the screen as the options fade in.
- Patton (2007) - Two golden lines open to the scene loop as the options fade in.
- Paul Blart: Mall Cop - The screen statics to the main menu.
- The Peacemaker - The title goes across the screen then a small explosion appears in the middle as the options appear.
- Pearl - The barn doors open, and the title is shown.
- Pee-Wee's Big Adventure - The screen pinholes from back and Pee Wee Herman rides his bike around the place. He crashes it into the options and says “I was meant to do that”.

- Perfume: The Story of a Murderer - The title can be faintly seen then petals fall from the top while a small paper with the options on it appears.

- Peter Pan (2003) - Wendy and the boys fly to Neverland then the sun flashes the screen white to the menu, and pixie dust makes the menu appear.
- The Phantom of the Opera (2004) - The chandelier is undraped then the menu fades in.
- Philadelphia: Anniversary Edition - The locations of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Liberty Bell and the Independence Hall are shown then the screen fades to the primary menu from the side of the screen in a wavy fashion.
- The Philadelphia Story - The camera zooms out of the scene as the title begins to write itself and the options fade in.
- Phone Booth - The screen flashes white between many screenshots from the film, then it zooms into the phone booth. The caller speaks to you “Isn’t it funny? You hear a phone ring and it could be anybody. But a ringing phone has to be answered, doesn’t it? Don’t even think about leaving that phone booth. You’re gonna learn to obey me.”
- The Pianist - The title fades in then the scene loop and options fade in together.
- The Pink Panther (2006) - The menu loop begins then the menu fades in. His footprint appears on the screen first (some editions play the title in the footprint).
- The Pink Panther 2 - The screen fades in from black then the diamond spins into the camera and the loop begins.
- Pirate Radio - The character rectangles are shown then they rotate around to show the title, then rotate back around to the characters.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl - It comes out of the coin’s skeleton eyehole and the coin lowers into the middle of the menu, where the title fades in.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - Inside the Black Pearl, Jack Sparrow looks down at his map. It then cuts to the main menu.
- Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End - The Flying Dutchman sails into the middle of the screen while the title shows in front of it. It then turns into the ship in the center of the Mao Kun map and then it lowers to a lower section of it
- Pitch Black - The planets go past the screen, it is then revealed they are models as the title (formatted as “The Chronicles of Riddick: Pitch Black”, since this DVD was released with this sequel listed near the start of the header) appears, then the menu fades in.

- Predator - The Predator stalks its target, then its crosshairs go to the middle of the screen then a massive explosion happens to the main menu.

- The Prestige - The spinner appears on the screen and the text “The pledge” appears. It starts spinning when the text “The turn” appears, then a bird shadow flies at the screen.

- Pretty Woman: 15th Anniversary Edition - The camera pans to the shop where the main menu is. A picture of Julia Roberts is seen in the window.
- Pride and Prejudice - The screen fades in from black and then the menu appears.
- Primal Fear: Hard Evidence Edition - The statue is shown then the title plays, then Aaron Roy is let out of his cage and the screen clouds to the menu loop.

- The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement - At the palace, the hands open the doors as the sparkles go in, then the box opens with a crown inside. Each gem is a menu option.

- Psycho - The Alfred Hitchcock collection logo plays then multiple grey lines turn the screen to the menu.
- Special Edition - A film reel goes down the screen and the films poster plays, then it shows Norman and Marion after which the title plays one more time, then it goes to the menu.
- Remake - Norman’s face is shown, then it plays the shower scene. As the blood goes down the drainpipe, it zooms into it and the screen fades to red before cutting to this menu.
- Pulp Fiction - The briefcase is unlocked. The title then plays as Misirlou starts playing, then the briefcase opens with the main menu.
- The Punisher (Tom Jane) - The camera pans across multiple assets as Frank Castle narrates “They murdered my family. They thought they murdered me. My actions are not vengeance. No, not vengeance. Punishment.” His logo then appears and the menu appears.
- The Pursuit of Happyness - The camera zooms out of the background, then the menu and title fade in along with the city.
- Quantum of Solace - The menu interface opens.
- The Queen - The title plays then a white line goes down the middle as it goes between many characters in the film, then the options come out of that line and are on either side of it.
- Queen: Live at Wembley Stadium - The band’s logo begins to form, then the title fades in as the options slide under.
- Queen: We Will Rock You - The band’s name goes past the screen and the words “we” “will” “rock” “you” go between the letters, then the menu appears as the title is placed above the options.
- Rachel Getting Married - Lines come from the top and bottom to form the background, then the menu options fade in individually.
- Racing Stripes - The title plays then Buzz says “Now cmon let’s go get some food!” The screen pinholes to the main menu. He and Scuzz land on Stripes’s rear end. While the options appear, Scuzz says “Yknow you can’t touch this?” and Buzz responds “I got 20 billion brothers and sisters, and mom tells me I gotta look out for you!”
- Radio - The radio’s dial is turned then multiple lines begin to form the menu, playing scenes from the film.
- Raging Bull (2005) - A bell rings as the menu opens, then the title fades in and the options scroll from the bottom.
- Raiders of the Lost Ark - A plane flies into the camera then the title is shown, then the plane flies past the screen and shows the menu.
- Rain Man - The title shows as Raymond Babbitt and Charlie walk together, then the screen turns to the main menu in a blindfold fashion.
- Raising Helen - The camera zooms towards the fridge.
- Ramona and Beezus - Ramona is shown hanging and the camera zooms into her, it then shows her in New York before something goes past the screen and reveals Paris, then it turns to her jumping out a window with a parachute before it cuts to the main menu.
- Ransom: Special Edition - The title forms and a line scrolls from the top fading in the options next to it.
- Ray - Cigar smoke goes up the screen and the title can be seen as he starts singing “Georgia”, then the screen flashes white to the main menu.
- The Reaping - Something plops in the water then a cloud like shape widens and the menu fades in.
- Rear Window - Rear Window shares part of its intro with Psycho due to being by the same director. After that, squares of the picture of LB Jefferies slide in from the side then the menu and title encase it.

- The Recruit - The network access is logged into then the file is downloaded, then the camera zooms into the numbers to the main menu.
- RED - The title plays (“Greetings from RED”) then the option bar scrolls from the bottom.
- Red Dawn (1984): Collector's Edition (2007) - Arrows are shown then it goes to the title as the options fade in.
- Red Dragon - Your character enters the cell block, and Hannibal says “So nice of you to visit again. Take a walk with me. You fear me but still you came here. Have you never felt a sudden rush of panic?” You look in his cell then many pictures of him flash on the screen. He continues “Yeah that’s the fear we talked about.” as one of his victims appear on the screen. He continues “It takes experience to master it.” as he appears on the screen again. As you approach the file (the main menu), he asks “Is that the case file?” and Dolarhyde’s back appears on the screen. “With photos?” He then says “Give me the file then and I’ll tell you what I think.” as the menu becomes available.
- Red Eye - Jackson grabs Lisa on the face, then the title plays and the options appear.
- Red Heat - The camera zooms out of the scene from the film then the title shines on and the text “special edition” and the options slide in.

- Rocky Balboa - Punching bag noises can be heard as our old legend punches the bag, and the scene where he walks his dog is played as the famous song begins to play (woo!) and he does his iconic pose as the camera zooms out to the main menu.
- The Rocky Horror Picture Show - After you select a film version, the screen is struck by lightning and the lips of Frank N Furter say “You have entered the Rocky Horror Picture Show DVD, guaranteed to thrill you chill you and fulfill you, so come up to the lab and see what’s on the slab.” Then the menu appears.

- Original - The title is shined to show then the option lights turn on one by one.
- Remake so bad the director went to prison - The title shows then each player is shown. The ball is then thrown through a glass panel, and the menu comes out of it.
- Roman Holiday - A plant stem like pattern goes all around the screen as Princess Ann is shown. The title then zooms onto it and the options fade in.
- Romancing the Stone (unidentified later release) - The bushes part then the title plays as the camera zooms to the waterfall, then the menu fades in.
- Romeo + Juliet: Special Edition - The curtains open and the screen starts counting from 10 as the camera zooms away from it, bringing the menu into view. The screen cuts at 3 seconds and clips from the film start playing.
- Romeo Must Die - The components of the menu start sliding on. It flashes as the title appears as well as the two primary characters, played by Jet Li and the late Aaliyah. The scene loop then starts to scroll on, then small flashes make the options.
- Ronaldo - The screen fades from black, and the title and options fade in one by one.
- The Rookie -The camera pans downwards and the menu fades in.
- Runaway Jury - The characters are shown and the text reads “Intimidation” “bribery” “blackmail” “they will do anything” “to control twelve people” then the title zooms into the camera to the main menu.
- Running with Scissors - A paper bar unrolls at the bottom then the title is written on. Then the medicine cupboard opens to the rest of the scene loop while all of the options write themselves onto the bottom bar.
- Rush Hour - Carter says “Do you understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?” then the letters of the title come out of his mouth as the menu forms.
- Rush Hour 2 - Carter says “I’m on vacation man I want mushu!” Lee responds “Mushu? You hungry?” then the dragon logo appears and zooms into the screen with the menu.

- Secondhand Lions - The car drives to the farm. On the way, the signs say “DANGER EXPLOSIVES IN AREA NO TRESPASSING KEEP OUT”, “LOOSE RABID ATTACK DOGS”, “NUCLEAR RADIATION! PERSONNEL IN PROTECTIVE SUITS ONLY!”, “RADIATION HAZARD”, and “TURN BACK NOW!”. It finally arrives at the house, and the last sign is the menu.
The Secret of the Magic Gourd - The gourd waves his wand around and the options appear.
- Secret Window - Mort Rainey says “You know, the only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story.” then John Shooter’s shadow zooms into the screen to the main menu.
- Seed of Chucky - Chucky, Tiffany, and Glen/Glenda are first seen sitting in the theater. The screen counts down from 4, then the title shows as the options slide on and Chucky laughs.
- The Sentinel - The screen interspeeds with scenes from the film with text that says “One bullet” “could change history” “one man” “must stop it” then the film’s title plays, which then zooms into the camera.

- The Shaggy Dog (2006) - The camera zooms out through an artery tube then out of the title. A cat then runs across the screen as the options appear.
- Shallow Hal - The elevator gets stuck, then Tony Robbins tells the main character “Hal Larson, ima do you a great favor” then a swirl goes into his brain and it fades to the main menu.

- Hoth - A pod descends to this arctic planet, then it cuts to its crash site, where a probe droid rises from it
- Dagobah System - Luke’s x - wing flies to the planet to visit Yoda. It cuts to the swamps, and it shows that the x wing has crashed as a creature flies past
- Cloud City - The Millennium Falcon flies down to Bespin and on the way to cloud city he flies past 2 other aircrafts. Han Solo then exits the ship and awaits Lando Calrissian's arrival.
- Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi - The title shows then:
- Tatooine (Jabba's Place) - The millennium falcon and Luke’s x wing fly down to Tatooine and above Jabba’s palace
- Death Star II - Emperor Palpatine’s shuttle comes out of a large imperial cruiser accompanied by 2 TIE fighters on the way to the second Death Star. Many Stormtroopers await his arrival.
- Endor - Showing the Death Star II on the way down, Palpatine’s shuttle lowers onto the endor moon and onto a launchpad
- Star Wars: The Last Jedi - The camera zooms out of Luke to the main menu.
- Stardust (2007) - A comment comes by and the camera zooms into it to the main menu.
- Starsky and Hutch - The background wipes on then the scene plays where Dave pulls up to Ken in the car, then it separates into 8 squares to play other scenes and the menu appears.
- Starship Troopers - The camera zooms into the logo of the federal network and multiple screens are shown before the viewer. An ad for the military zooms towards the camera. When it says “would you like to know more?”, the menu options appear.
- Stealth - The film’s poster shows, then it zooms into the background as the menu rises up from the bottom. The title shines in above it.
- Step Up - It draws a scene from the film onto the background then draws the menu.
- Step Up 2: The Streets - The title plays then a splotch comes from the corner and puts the menu.

- Super Troopers - The title shows on a billboard which also shows the main characters, then a police car crashes through it.

- The Sweetest Thing - Multiple slides go across the white background then 3 of them zoom in and make the three primary characters appear as the options fade in.
- Swingers - The man opens the door then most of the menu starts to fade in. The title zooms out onto the lower part of the menu as the options fade in.
- Swiss Army Man - The title plays then the options fade in.
- The Swiss Family Robinson - The camera enters the tree house and zooms into the table. The options fade in; the objects next to each option are used in their transitions.
- Synedoche, New York - The camera zooms out of the drawn skyline of New York, then the title plays and the menu options fade in.
- Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby - A race starts and Jean Girard says “Excuse me. Coming through.” Then Ricky Bobby tells someone “If you ain’t first, you’re last. Y’know? Know what I’m talking about? That phrase is a trademark not to be used outside the position of Ricky Bobby.”, then the camera cuts to the menu and zooms down his body. This only plays when you select the superspeedway version. On region 2 releases there is no selection and it only plays the last part.
- Taxi (2004) - The menu lines slide across and the title plays as the options also slide on.
- Taxi Driver: Collector's Edition - The shots of the skyline of New York and the car are shown, then it drives past as the options fade in.
- Team America World Police - The film’s title and logo appears then it explodes, then the camera zooms out to the main menu.
- Tears of the Sun - The title plays one word at a time then the options appear.
- Ted - The screen cuts from black and the menu bar slides on.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990) - The background fades from black and the title and options zoom in.

- Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny - A shooting star makes the title appear, it zooms into the camera which then zooms into one of the cards, and a hole burns into it and the menu card is carried down.
- The Terminal - The main menu appears in a shutters style.
- The Terminator - It shows the “Cyberdyne industries model 101 terminator” and zooms out through the terminator’s circuits before exiting from its eye, during this the terminator says “Cyberdyne systems, terminator online” then the menu screen appears.
- Terminator 2: Judgement Day: Extreme Edition - It shows the Cyberdyne systems logo, which then opens up and we can see a row of terminators before a pod opens and a thin metal stick is shown. It is then scanned and it is revealed to be the T - 1000 as the menu options board appears.
- Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition - It shows the Cyberdyne systems logo, which then opens up and we can see a row of terminators and one of them is brought into another room as the first beats of the theme song are played. A panel comes and displays a choice between theatrical version and special edition. After a choice is made, it opens to the main menu.

- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) - The camera shows the mailbox, the windmill, then the fields, before it cuts inside the house. It then goes into a door peephole, then Leatherface slams a door before the options cut on.

- Thirteen Days - The text on the screen says “October 1962, you’ll never believe how close we came” then different parts of a map flash on the screen until the title shows, then a magnifying glass goes over it (the options on its rim).
- This is Spinal Tap: Special Edition - The band talk to each other during the black screen. A little later, the title goes over the top then into the background (that far back, much to the annoyance of the band) and the options fade in.

The title plays by showing on a newspaper that covers the windscreen, as it is wiped off and someone says “Holy Schnike!”, which is also the name of this special edition.

- Top Gun: Special Collector's Edition - The title shows then it shows the four main characters (Maverick, Goose, Iceman, Charlie) while "Danger Zone" plays.

- Season 5 - The first DVD to not match the others, the double doors open and the camera goes across an orange line, then the back of the characters are shown and it goes to the scene loop.
- Season 6 - The camera goes all the way down the halls until it reaches the cafeteria, then goes above the coffee cups as the menu appears.
- Season 7 - The camera zooms out of the coffee cups and goes over to a table with a PC, and it has the website on it and the options are displayed there.
- Seinfeld releases - The menu location is first shown through establishing shot. Usually, discs 1 and 2 are respectively Jerry's apartment and Monk's Diner, while discs 3 and 4 have unique locations:
- Seasons 1 & 2: The Chinese restaurant and the hospital from "The Heart Attack."
- Season 3: The subway and the parking garage. (The latter's parent episode is on disc 2.)
- Season 4: The airplane from "The Airport" and the title vehicle from "The Smelly Car."
- Season 5: George's parents' house and the Hamptons home.
- Season 6: George's apartment and the ballpark from "The Understudy."
- Season 7: This season follows a completely different pattern from other seasons, with only Jerry's apartment sticking around (on disc 4). Discs 1-3 respectively have the Soup Nazi's shop, the Alex Theater, and a street corner.
- Season 8: The street where George works during "The Pothole" and the hospital he's at during "The Summer of George."
- Season 9: A different part of the New York streets from season 7 and the courtroom from "The Finale."
- The bonus disc on The Complete Series, showing exclusively still menus, is the only DVD to break from formula completely.

- Vault Disney DVDs Disc 2s + Apple Dumpling Gang the vault menu - The camera enters a building labelled “Vault Disney presents” and goes in an elevator, the elevator goes down until it dings and the title of the film appears above the buttons. The door then opens and you go down a hallway surrounded by pics from the film, it then cuts to the end of the hallway as you enter a door and the curtains pull back to reveal the film’s bonus features menu.
